Southern Cross Care (SA&NT) extend congratulations to Sarah Constructions, who have taken out the ‘National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Living Award – Aged Care Facilities’ for the Oakfield Lodge development at the National Master Builders Awards at Parliament House in Canberra.
Sarah Constructions, with the Southern Cross Care Oakfield Lodge build, were successfully awarded this prestigious National Construction Industry Award over an impressive list of finalists, including Kerrisdale Gardens Aged Care Centre in Mackay Queensland and Opal Residential Aged Care Rutherford in Newcastle.
The category for National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Living Award – Aged Care Facilities was judged on numerous key project factors, including but not limited too, budget, program, team performance, team relationships and complexity.
Southern Cross Care (SA&NT) CEO David Moran said, “Southern Cross Care is immensely proud of this project’s achievements, along with the outcomes it is producing, especially for our residents, and it’s wonderful for Sarah Construction to receive this prestigious accolade for the development.”
David continued, “Oakfield Lodge eases demand for aged care services in this Adelaide Hills region, including residential care accommodation and overnight respite services. Long term, Oakfield Lodge will become a major contributor to the social and economic success of the Mount Barker community.”
Keeping you connected to the life you love; the vision for the state of the art aged care facility started back in 2014 with a development brief of “Connecting Care with the Environment”, in that, the development contributes to a sustainable community which is attractive to residents, visitors and the surrounding community.
David said, “As managing contractors, Sarah Constructions, delivered on time and under budget, despite losing 40 days to inclement weather. The project was a great accomplishment and it is wonderful to see them receive this industry recognition.”
David said, “We would like to thank everyone who worked on this project. Your hard work and dedication demonstrates what is achievable as we continue to exceed the expectations within the Aged Care sector as a whole.”
