Refresh your summer with a delicious Mango Lassi
Mango Lassi is the perfect summer refreshment. The combination of sweet mangoes and cool yogurt creates a delicious and thirst-quenching drink.
The natural sweetness of the mangoes provides a refreshing taste that is sure to beat the heat. The yogurt in the lassi also provides a creamy and soothing texture, perfect for a hot summer day. The added spices like cardamom or rose water provides a unique, aromatic twist that makes the drink even more enjoyable.
Ingredients
- 2 mango/s -peeled and flesh removed (see note below for using frozen mango)
- 250 g full-fat natural yoghurt (1 cup)
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- 1 cup ice
Method
- In a blender or food processor, puree the mango, yoghurt and spices until smooth.
- Add the ice and puree again until it is crushed.
- Serve immediately.
Note
- You can substitute the mango with frozen mango cheeks, omit the ice, and add ½ cup water.
- You can also add a scoop of your favourite vanilla protein powder
Serve
- With chopped cashews or pistachios.
Store
- Leftovers can be frozen into little cups or ice-block moulds for a fast, healthy snack another day.
