Refresh your summer with a delicious Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi is the perfect summer refreshment. The combination of sweet mangoes and cool yogurt creates a delicious and thirst-quenching drink.

The natural sweetness of the mangoes provides a refreshing taste that is sure to beat the heat. The yogurt in the lassi also provides a creamy and soothing texture, perfect for a hot summer day. The added spices like cardamom or rose water provides a unique, aromatic twist that makes the drink even more enjoyable.

Ingredients

  • 2 mango/s -peeled and flesh removed (see note below for using frozen mango)
  • 250 g full-fat natural yoghurt (1 cup)
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ½ tsp ground cardamom
  • 1 cup ice

Method

  • In a blender or food processor, puree the mango, yoghurt and spices until smooth.
  • Add the ice and puree again until it is crushed.
  • Serve immediately. 

Note

  • You can substitute the mango with frozen mango cheeks, omit the ice, and add ½ cup water.
  • You can also add a scoop of your favourite vanilla protein powder 

Serve

  • With chopped cashews or pistachios.

Store

  • Leftovers can be frozen into little cups or ice-block moulds for a fast, healthy snack another day.
