Building better lives free from loneliness and isolation

Loneliness isn’t just a feeling, it’s a serious health issue affecting countless older Australians.

Research has found that many people become disconnected with family and friends as they age, causing loneliness and isolation. This can lead to a heartbreaking decline in mental and physical health, contributing to chronic illness, an increased risk of dementia, poor quality of life and even premature death.

That’s why our Community Foundation raises vital funds for programs that foster social connection and meaningful engagement, bringing purpose and joy to the lives of older Australians.
