Respite clients adore Christmas activities and the chance to share the joy

At Southern Cross Care’s Dementia Respite Cottages there is never a dull moment, and this is even more true during the festive season.

Clients this year have enjoyed visiting the Christmas tree farm, going shopping for decorations and of course decorating the Christmas tree.

There has been a huge variety of colourful and creative decorations across the Cottages as clients craft their own contributions to the joyful scenes.

Visiting an official Santa Claus for a wonderful photo opportunity was also a favourite seasonal outing, and Christmas-themed Carer’s Forums gave carers the chance to connect with each other while enjoying the holiday atmosphere.

Christmas is truly a time to come together and share the joy of social connection.
