One special Length of Service Award was given out to Carmelite Residential Care Enrolled Nurse, Robyn Collins, for 47 years of service.

She was planning to retire in June this year, but with COVID-19 having a huge impact on Carmelite, Robyn’s passion and commitment to her colleagues and residents inspired her to stay on for the rest of the year.

Robyn will now retire in December, and on behalf of Southern Cross Care was presented with a gift of flowers from Southern Cross Care CEO, David Moran.

Held at the Adelaide Zoo’s Sanctuary Room, around 160 people attended the event and many hundreds watched online through the Facebook live stream.

Southern Cross Care CEO, David Moran, said he couldn’t be more proud of the organisation and how it overcame the challenges of the last 12 months.

“I couldn’t be more proud of our people and the way you have pulled together and demonstrated our compassionate, capable, collaborative and creative values this year,” Mr Moran said.

“It’s hard to believe that despite everything we have been through, we have still maintained our high standards of care, our strong compliance record and high occupancy levels, while also making good progress against our Better for 2023 Strategic Plan.”

“This is all a fantastic reflection of the belief we have in our Better for life vision.”
