There is nothing like a dame

There is nothing like a dame

We moved into Unit 42 at Bedford Heights Estate on 15 July 2021. Shortly after, we were all back in lock-down.

We hadn't moved far, having lived for the previous 31 years in Myrtle Grove, Blackburn.

That was the longest we lived anywhere, and we had lived in more than 20 different houses during our lifetime.

We have three children, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, living in Melbourne, Ballarat and Ballina in NSW. Sadly, Covid has meant that we haven't seen nearly enough of them over the past 18 months, but we are hopeful that we will all be able to get together for Christmas.

We are delighted to be living in Bedford Heights Estate and are finding everyone incredibly friendly and supportive. We are looking forward to the day when the social activities recommence so we can get to know you all a lot better.

The 1964 Daimler in the photo is Peter's indulgence. We could never afford one back in the 60s but are enjoying it on the rare occasions it comes out of the garage. In the past 57 years, it has only travelled 80,000 miles so it has lots of life left in it.
